Galaxy 30: Final Showdown

Congratulations on beating the Conquest Mode! Did you have to use any Emissaries or did you beat every galaxy?

How much armor did your starbase have left? How many tries did it take?

42 armor left, and I beat this one on my second attempt. I'll try that one again for a better score some day, this was way too easy

I didn't use any emissaries during my conquest, although I was tempted to use one in Galaxy #27 (Fatebringer)...

You guys both beat me. my best was 34 and took me like 8 tries the first time. I really worked to cut off the enemy's trade there. I wonder if you had a different approach.

I simply fortified the planet at the center with a scavenger and a few assasins. No bombers came through after that. I took all the available planets/asteroids fast with interceptors, and later fortified them with a fleet of one scanvenger and one assasin. That way they were safe from enemy incursions and trader fleets. I didn't actively chase those traders, execpt once, when they just happened to fly by one of my fleets

I had a fleet of 10 bombers and 12 assassins when I finally went for the enemy base. The base fell in about two seconds, so a slightly smaller fleet would have worked too I think

And I only restarted the first try because on that attempt the first bomber fleet sneaked by me and did about 80 points of damage to my base

Wow. You guys are fast! Been busy lately but I'll post my scores - and play more - when I free up. Used all my emmisaries =) when I got stuck and made it to galaxy 30. I have to admit that some of my scores are relatively low by 10-15 - especially since my gameplay is more conservative to 'guarantee' a win but at the same time, I won't be shocked if I figured out a few tricks few others did.

Wouldn't shock me either StratFanatic and again great idea on the rank and high score boards. I have found a renewed sense of interest in replaying some rounds over again to increase my score. Fact is I guess I was also conservative to a degree as I always waited to the very last second to attack to make sure I had enough bombers. In reality I probably could have won earlier, with a few less bombers. Just wanted to say, I have played each round so many times that I have kinda lost track as far as the number of attempts it took me to win each round. So I am just listing my scores as SBAL= Star Base Armor Left.

I also played things safe most of the time. No point in risking a loss when you have the time, and can crush your enemy with an overwhelming force

I'll play a few gauntlets, and then play all the levels again to increase my scores before posting them here

Now, If I could just find more time...
